On-Farm Internships in the Ottawa Area

The CRAFT Ottawa program links interns with ecological farmers, and develops networks of ecological farmers to provide ample education and exposure to different farming systems for their interns.

There is no better place to gain an understanding of how to farm ecologically than on a CRAFT farm. Through a full-season (typically May-November) internship, an intern can learn about all the aspects of small-scale ecological farming. Through the program, you will have the chance to visit several other farms throughout the season, and experience other farming systems. Through a CRAFT internship, you will develop a broad idea of what kinds of farms can succeed in a local economy.
